The Role of Project Manager

We are now looking for one or two project employees who want to help develop Region Jönköping County's agricultural schools – Stora Segerstad Naturbrukscentrum and Tenhult Agricultural High School – into regional competence centers within the green industries.

The assignment has a strategic and development-oriented focus and aims to strengthen the schools' long-term relevance, collaboration, and contribution to regional competence supply. In this assignment, you will work closely with the agricultural schools, municipalities, industry organizations, academia, and internal development functions within Region Jönköping County. The role requires both analytical skills and good collaboration and communication abilities.

Your main tasks will include:

• identifying and developing new educational options within the agricultural field, such as adult education, further education, and skills development
• conducting market surveillance and analysis of developments in agriculture and forestry as well as other green industries
• carrying out a systematic mapping and analysis of the current situation, resources, conditions, and development potential of the agricultural schools,
• developing and proposing collaboration models between agricultural schools, municipalities, academia, and industry actors, focusing on preparedness, crisis management, supply capacity, and sustainable development
• strengthening collaboration between school and working life based on the county's demographic challenges and the current and future competence needs of the green industries
• contributing to development work and analysis aimed at robust food chains, sustainable animal husbandry, and viable agricultural enterprises,
• responsible for producing interim and final reports with proposals for goals, action plans, and recommendations for continued development.

The position is a project employment with a maximum employment period of two years. The scope is up to 100%. There is an opportunity to share the position between two people, where the degree of service and distribution of responsibilities can be adjusted based on each candidate's competence profile and experience. The placement is flexible and is not limited to Jönköping. The position can be based in another location within the county, or even outside the county, based on the needs of the operation and agreement with the hired person. Regardless of formal placement, the assignment requires a high degree of presence at both schools, especially in the initial phase, to map needs, conditions, and development opportunities and contribute to future scanning based on each school's operations.

Regional development coordinates and leads the work with regional development based on both state and regional assignments. We work together with many actors in Jönköping County to achieve the goal of becoming Sweden's most sustainable, attractive, and accessible region.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone with a relevant academic education in the field, or alternatively, another academic education that, in combination with experience, is considered equivalent. You have a good understanding of educational forms such as agricultural schools, adult education, or vocational training. Furthermore, you have experience in regional development, innovation work, and work with preparedness and sustainability issues.

You have worked with issues related to supply capacity, food systems, or competence supply linked to the green industries and possess expertise in areas such as forestry, agriculture, crop production, animal husbandry, or other parts of the sector.

The role requires you to have experience in project management, development work, or qualified analysis, as well as a good ability to collect, structure, and analyze external and operational data. You express yourself well in both speech and writing and have good communication skills. Additionally, you have experience in collaboration between educational actors, authorities, and industry.
